FIXX launched last year, and when it went live, most growers had already closed their prices. As you can imagine, this hasn’t helped us promote the platform. But this year, FIXX is here and ready to help you sell your crops!
FIXX makes it easier to sell your soybeans
Soybean prices fluctuate a lot. During the COVID-19 pandemic, prices were even more unsteady, making it difficult for busy soybean farmers to sell their crops at the best possible price.
We developed FIXX in part to address this problem.
FIXX is the only platform of its kind in Canada. It’s connected in real time to the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT). The beauty of FIXX is that it allows soybean producers to (1) manually and directly sell their crops during trading hours and (2) set sales targets that convert to trades once those targets are met.
With FIXX, soybean growers can go about their business knowing the platform will close the price as soon as the target is reached. This eliminates the need for constant monitoring.
A platform that reflects the reality of local producers
FIXX is very intuitive and user-friendly. Technical support is also available if you have any questions. We plan to constantly improve FIXX and add new features that reflect the needs and realities of local soybean growers. FIXX is free for the first year.
A look back at 2020–2021
Despite the pandemic, and as we mentioned in our article on exports, 2020–2021 was a very productive year. We even recorded 60% growth in Western Canada compared to 2019 and sales of organic seeds were up 70%. That says it all.
At the same time, we also made many major investments to modernize our equipment and introduced 3 new E3 varieties and 5 new XTEND varieties.
We also welcomed a new key member to our team, our brand new district sales manager in Ontario.
As you can see, there’s a lot going on at Prograin, and we couldn’t be happier.
