Hi Pierre-Olivier. What do you do at Prograin and how long have you been working here?
I’ve been working at Prograin for 12 years.
Initially, I was hired to do maneuvering tasks like cleaning and putting bags of seed on pallets since at the time, there were no robots.
Then I was a forklift operator for production and bagger on the line for human food.
Now I’ve been a forklift operator at the warehouse for two years.
Did you complete any specific program in order to do this job?
No.
Did you know anything about soybeans before you began working at Prograin?
Not at all.
Did you know about Prograin before you began working there?
My friend was an employee of Prograin, that’s how I got to know the company.
What do you think sets Prograin apart from other companies?
Prograin’s expertise in soybeans. I think it’s a leader to which a number of other companies refer.
In your opinion, what words best describe Prograin’s corporate culture?
Innovation, equity and integrity.
What do you like about your job?
It’s not monotonous, I have several different tasks to do.
What motivates you?
Practice a variety of tasks in addition to working with the onsite considerate team.
What’s your biggest day-to-day challenge?
My time management. I always set goals, but sometimes I have to deal with unexpected things that prevent me from achieving them.
Last question: Where might we see you outside of work?
In the stores, in events where there are cars, at the Granby Zoo or in the park with my children.
